100% of your investment will provide scholarships for TLAC participants who are unable to pay the $300 tuition.  

FACTS ABOUT TEEN LEADERSHIP AMARILLO & CANYON

  • Created in 1997 as a youth leadership development program under Leadership Amarillo & Canyon (501 (c) 3).
  • Dedicated to developing leaders at the high school level (sophomores, juniors and seniors) by exposing youth to the Amarillo & Canyon community through site tours, seminars and leadership activities.
  • Participants have inter action with civic, corporate and political leaders.
  • Includes public, private and home schooled youth from various socio-economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Meet one day a month throughout the school year (excused absence).
  • West Texas A&M University junior and senior college facilitators participate in developing the leadership talents of the high school students.  College facilitators receive college credit for their participation,
  • Curriculum includes personal responsibility, communication, critical thinking, team building, servant leadership and generational perspective.
  • Since 1997, Teen Leadership Amarillo & Canyon has graduated over 800 future leaders from Amarillo High School, AACAL, Caprock High School, Tascosa High School, Palo Duro High School, Highland Park High School, Randall High School, Canyon High School, Bushland High School, San Jacinto Chrisitan Academy, Arbor Academy and Panhandle Home School Association. 
  • The cost to participate in Teen Leadership Amarillo & Canyon is $300.  Visa and MasterCard are accepted and payment arrangements can be made.  Partial scholarship may also be available.
  • Deadline for 2010-2011 Teen Leadership Amarillo & Canyon class application is July 31, 2010.
