Teen Leadership is a leadership development program under Leadership Amarillo & Canyon for high school (public, private and home schooled) students at the sophomore, junior and senior level. This unique program provides students the opportunity to interact with peers from across the area, while participating in site-tours, presentations and hands-on activities one day a month throughout the academic school year. Elements of Teen Leadership include leadership development, business preparation, college preparation, community awareness and social consciousness.
LEADERSHIP NOW (LN) is a program of Leadership Amarillo & Canyon (LAC). LEADERSHIP NOW is the 2nd year of Teen Leadership Amarillo & Canyon. Developed for juniors and seniors at the high school level, LEADERSHIP NOW will expose participants to the next level of leadership. Unlike typical job shadowing, students will be matched with leadership mentors (business leaders) and leadership advisors (LAC Board of Directors) to learn different leadership styles. Students will experience the challenges, pressures and rewards of leading individuals to success through the leadership mentors and leadership advisors. 2nd year students will also act in an advisors capacity to the LAC Board of Directors and will maintain a non-voting role on the board of directors.
